Harvest Fest supports Starfish Pack program in Abbotsford

Event hosted on Sept. 20 by firefighters’ association

The Abbotsford Fire Fighters Association hosts a Harvest Fest on Friday, Sept. 20 to raise money for the Starfish Pack program.

The event includes dinners, drinks and dancing, with entertainment inspired by Oktoberfest, including ax throwing and Hammerschlagen.

There will also be performances by comedian Sunee Dhaliwal and live music by the Tanner Olsen Band.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at the show barn at Abbotsford Exhibition Park. Dinner is served at 6:30.

The Starfish Pack program provides backpacks filled with food for kids to take home on weekends throughout the school year. The program provides 300 backpacks to 35 different schools.
