Gallery 7 Theatre in Abbotsford holds auditions

Production of Prince Caspian to be staged in November
Ken Hildebrandt is the managing artistic director of Gallery 7 Theatre.

Gallery 7 Theatre holds auditions on Tuesday, June 25 for its November production of Prince Caspian.

The production is adapted for the stage by Damien Atkins from the novel by C.S. Lewis and will be the first main-stage production of Gallery 7's 2024-25 "Under Pressure" season.

Auditions are open to all performers ages 14 and up and will be held starting at 6 p.m. at the rehearsal hall at #100 - 34595 Third Ave. in Abbotsford.

"We're excited to journey back to the world of Narnia," said Ken Hildebrandt, managing artistic director.

"This fantastical adventure tells an entertaining and thought-provoking story of courage, hope and strength of character. The cast and crew of this production will be treated to an artistically challenging and hugely fulfilling experience as they share this magical story with Fraser Valley audiences."

The production tells the story of the Pevensie children, who are travelling by train when they are suddenly and magically transported back to the fantastical world of Narnia.

More than 1,000 years have passed since their last visit, and war once again consumes the land. The children join forces with Prince Caspian to defeat the evil King Miraz to restore peace and freedom to the kingdom.

Prince Caspian will be directed by Gabe Kirkley, a director, actor and sound and lighting designer who graduated from University of the Fraser Vallehy with a degree in history and theatre. Past directing credits include A Tale of Two Cities, Dinner with Friends and The Magician's Nephew.
