Four Abbotsford kids have made it to the semi-finals of this year's PNE Star Showdown.
Erin Howard (in photo at left) – a violinist, pianist and singer – and the Abbotsford acro trio of Jillian Haima, Kayla Kiebe and Austyn Lamont are among 30 acts taking to the stage on Aug. 17 to 19 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the PNE in Vancouver.
Howard will compete with the song Suds in the Bucket by Sara Evans.
Three winners from each of three age categories will advance to the finals on Aug. 20 to compete for the first-, second- and third-place prize of $1,000, $2,000 and $5,000.
The PNE Star Showdown is a province-wide talent search, showcasing singers, dancers and musicians.
