Envision concert series returns

Coffee house and "concert in the park" series takes place in Abbotsford.

The Abbotsford Arts Council has announced the return of the Envision Coffee House Concert Series and Envision Concert in the Park Series.

These provide local artists with the chance to perform in a casual atmosphere while the community enjoys various musical genres ranging from jazz, blues and folk to country, rock and pop.

Every Saturday evening, from May 19 to June 23 and Sept. 22 to Oct. 27, residents will have an opportunity to hear free, live music at participating local coffee houses, including House of James, Clayburn Gourmet Gallery, Wired Monk McCallum Road and Wired Monk Parallel Marketplace. All concerts run from 8-10 p.m.

For those who prefer listening to music in the outdoors, head to Mill Lake Park from June 30 to Sept. 15 between 6-8 p.m. and enjoy free concerts in the park.

“Envision is always looking for innovative ways to support the arts and bring the community together,” said Susan Byrom, manager of corporate citizenship at Envision Financial. “This is our fifth year of partnership with Abbotsford Arts Council – we’re  excited to once again showcase some of the amazing talent this city has to offer.”
