The Valley Concert Society presents classical and jazz pianist Chris Jarrett performing the score he composed to Sergei Eisenstein’s famous 1925 silent movie Battleship Potemkin.
The concert takes place Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way.
Jarrett’s score is partially improvised and underlines Eisenstein’s anti-militaristic message.
A short pre-concert talk takes place in the foyer at 7 p.m.
