An evening of inspirational music and storytelling takes place in Abbotsford on Sunday, Dec. 1.
The event is hosted by Generation Rising – a Canadian Christian charity – and features improv violinist and vocalist Rosemary Siemens, her family and The Singing Men choir.
Timeless Christmas: A Concert of Carols and Hymns features Christmas carols, hymns and old-time gospel favourites.
With more than 100 million views across social media, Siemens is known for her YouTube show Sunday Hymn Serenade, where it is her mission to “Bring Back the Hymns."
Siemens has performed in more than 25 countries, 40 U.S. states, for two U.S. presidents and Canadian prime ministers, and won Country Gospel Album of the Year at Canada’s Gospel Music Awards.
The concert features Siemens along with her husband, internationally award-winning saxophonist Eli Bennett; their five-year old son Theodore Parker Bennett; three-year old son Amadeus Alexander Bennett; and other surprise special guests.
Siemens will be accompanied by The Singing Men choir from Abbotsford who are reuniting to perform for the evening under the direction of Fred Ekkert.
The concert is free with no tickets required. A free-will offering will be taken to build new classrooms in Nicaragua.
The concert takes place at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Clearbrook MB Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd.
