The Cineplex movie theatre in Abbotsford is among locations in Canada holding its fifth annual Community Day on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Doors open at 9 a.m., with free movies being shown all morning and regular programming returning in the afternoon.
This year’s Community Day lineup includes Despicable Me 2, Fast & Furious 6, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Pitch Perfect, Hop, and Dumb and Dumber To.
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
A selection of coffee, popcorn, soft drinks and select candy items will be priced at $2 each. Cineplex will also be selling exclusive mini-Rafiki friendship bracelets for $2, with all proceeds from donations and concessions sales supporting Free the Children.
The Abbotsford location is at the Highstreet shopping complex on Mt. Lehman Road.
