Global Spectrum is bringing the thunder – The Celtic Thunder.

Global Spectrum is bringing the thunder – The Celtic Thunder.

The operators of the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre have announced they will be hosting the international performers.

“The wildly entertaining and million-selling Decca recording artists Celtic Thunder will bring their world tour in support of their new album Heritage to the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre on Oct. 29, 2011.”

Heritage was produced by Sharon Browne and longtime collaborator Phil Coulter, and features performances by fan-favorites - each with their own unique stage personas - Damian McGinty, Keith Harkin, Paul Byrom, Ryan Kelly and George Donaldson, along with the newest member of the ensemble, Emmet Cahill, who takes over for Byrom on future tours and recordings.

Delivering performances in the tradition of their previous releases (Celtic Thunder: The Show, Act Two, Take Me Home, It’s Entertainment and most recently, Christmas), Celtic Thunder now return to their distinct Irish roots with this inspired collection of songs, including the sweet and tranquil Kindred Spirits, the rousing jig, A Place In The Choir, the seductive Black Is The Color, and the upbeat Whiskey In The Jar, to name a few.

Tickets will be on sale April 15 at 10 a.m. through abbotsfordcentre.ca, the AESC box office or by phone at 1-866-977-AESC (2372).
