Celebrating arts in the Fraser Valley

Four Abbotsford school joined forces to present an art walk type celebration.

The Creative Learning Community presented the inaugural Arts in the Fraser Valley event today (April 25).

This event took place at noon and will take place again tonight at 6 p.m.at various locations around Abbotsford city hall (32315 South Fraser Way) including the Civic Plaza, Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, The Reach, Clearbrook Library and the school board office.

In all, four schools are involved in the project: ASIA: North Poplar, ASIA: Sumas Mountain, Robert Bateman Secondary and Blue Jay Elementary, including about 350 students.

Dancing, singing, drama visual arts, a little bit of everything will be featured.

The event is being held in conjunction with BC Arts and Culture Week (April 21-27).

Tickets for the event are $2 for students and $5 for adults and are available at the event .
