The African Children’s Choir performs in Abbotsford on Sunday, March 16 as part of its 40th anniversary tour.
The event takes place at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Mennonite Church, 3471 Clearbrook Rd.
The African Children's Choir is composed of children aged nine to 11, all from vulnerable backgrounds across Africa. Each child in the choir has faced significant hardship, often with limited access to education.
“The African Children’s Choir proves just how powerful music can be,” says choir manager Tina Sipp.
“These concerts not only provide hope and encouragement to our audiences, but they offer the children life-changing experiences that help shape them into future leaders.”
The choir performs popular children’s tunes, traditional spiritual songs and vibrant African cultural pieces.
No tickets are required, but donations to the choir are appreciated.
