Abbotsford Christian Secondary's (ACS) theatre arts department presents 'Medium Rare: A Comedic Mishap of Sold Homes and Lost Grandmas' starting May 29.

Abbotsford Christian Secondary's (ACS) theatre arts department presents  "Medium Rare: A Comedic Mishap of Sold Homes and Lost Grandmas" starting May 29.

Medium Rare is a play about a newlywed couple, Harry and Bunny Polk, who get more than they bargained for when they buy their first house.

The fun begins at dinner when Harry and Bunny realize the house not only came furnished, but with a grandma as well.

Grandma Nina, a particularly quirky character, decides it would be best for her to live in the house with Harry and Bunny while her granddaughter moves out.

The humour continues as Nina holds a meeting of her Early Birds Club at six in the morning, entertains a crazy friend and almost gets Harry fired from his job.

The ACS acting 11/12 class designed the poster for the play, selected costumes, practised stage makeup and did other projects to prepare for the production.

Performances are at 7 p.m. on May 29 and 30, and June 4-6 at ACS, 35011 Old Clayburn Rd.

Tickets for the Thursday, June 4 performance are $5 in advance and $8 at the door, but all other shows are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.

Tickets are available at the school office, online at abbotsfordchristian.com/events or by calling 604-755-1891.
