The AbbyFest cultural festival returns to Abbotsford for the seventh year on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ag-Rec Building in Abbotsford Exhibition Park, 32470 Haida Drive.

Admission and parking are free. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with the Parade of Nations, with the day's entertainment kicking off at 10 a.m.

Entertainment takes place throughout the day, and there is a beer garden that opens at noon with live entertainment on a second stage until 8 p.m.

Ten countries and six languages are represented in performances that include cultural dancing, demonstrations, the Fashion by UFV show, and music from local artists such as John Welsh, Joel Willoughby, The Loose Ends, Quieros and the Abbotsford Men’s Chorus.

The food court offers a variety of cultural flavours, and 60 booths will be located  inside the building.

The event caps off a week of festivities around Culture Days, a three-day annual nation-wide celebration providing Canadians with opportunities to participate in, and appreciate, all forms of arts and culture.
