An Abbotsford band competes this Thursday in the finals of a music competition in Coquitlam.
The band Rev is among the top five bands, from about 300 entries from across the Lower Mainland, competing in the Rock the Mic event at the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, located on United Boulevard in Coquitlam.
Prizes include more than $7,000 in cash and a one-year contract to play at the venue.
The contest began with auditions in June.
Rev is a rock cover band from Abbotsford which has been playing together for about 15 years. Members are Terry Wood, Scott Heke, Darrell Sager, Kevin Savage and Tim Blanchet.
