Abbotsford author Ted Goodrich celebrates the launch of his newest book on Monday at Clearbrook Library.

Ted Goodrich of Abbotsford launches his new book of poetry with a celebration at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) on Monday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m.

The book, titled Vision of Truth and Fantasy, is “poetry for people who do not like poetry,” Goodrich says.

“It tells tales of fantasy and adventure, a little humour, a touch of philosophy, a smidgen of history, a sprinkling of romance and what I hope is resulting in a totally satisfying and entertaining read,” he added.

Goodrich was born in Prince George and spent most of his life travelling throughout B.C. He has made Abbotsford his home for the last 14 years.

Goodrich has done a considerable amount of photography throughout the province, and his work can be seen in a number of places, including businesses throughout the area.

He started writing about five years ago after his retirement from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, where he worked as a district manager in Prince George and Abbotsford, as well as a regional district manager throughout the province.

His first book, A Poetic Kaleidoscope, received a gold seal for literary excellence and a stunning review from the US Review Board.

Goodrich’s second venture was a children’s book, The Amazing Adventures of Polar and Hedge, about two stuffed animals and their adventures as their owner grows up and becomes a man.
