Zajac Ranch in Mission is in the running for a $100,000 Pepsi Refresh Project grant to help send children to camp this summer.

To receive the funds, the ranch must receive the most votes in this cycle of the project.

The contest involves individuals, businesses and community groups submitting “refreshing” ideas in the categories of health, arts and culture, food and shelter, the planet, neighbourhoods and education.

The ideas are shared on the website refresheverything.ca and voted upon.

The ranch’s idea – entered in the health category – is to send 100 children with medical needs to summer camp.

Anyone 13 years or older and a resident of Canada can vote once per day until June 30.

Zajac Ranch provides camp experiences for children who are often turned away from other camps because of physical, developmental and behavioural challenges.

It is located on Florence Lake Road in Mission.
