A cheque for $4,000 was recently presented to Matthew’s House in Abbotsford from funds raised at the annual Yale Hockey Academy (YHA) Charity Golf Tournament.

YHA director Billy Willms and captains Jake Chiasson, Owen Forfellow and Holden Kodak – representing the Bantam, Elite 15 and Midget Prep teams respectively – presented the cheque to Laura Ullock of Matthew’s House.

The funds were generated at the golf tournament held Sept. 23 at Ledgeview Golf Course in Abbotsford.

The Yale Hockey Academy prides itself in “training life champions” into becoming positive contributors in their local communities.

Matthew’s House is located on the Dave Lede Campus of Care adjacent to Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
