Volunteer Fraser Valley makes connections

New organization covers Abbotsford, Mission, Hope, Agassiz and Chilliwack

A new organization is supporting volunteer engagement in Abbotsford, Mission, Hope, Agassiz and Chilliwack.

Volunteer Fraser Valley connects volunteers to the various charities and organizations in the eastern Valley.

It was started by Cari More – with the guidance of a steering committee – who has 10 years of experience with Volunteer Chilliwack.

A new website (volunteerfv.com) has been launched in which organizations can post links to their volunteer opportunities for free, allowing people in the Valley to find volunteer opportunities in one central location.

As the new centre continues to grow, training opportunities will also be provided for volunteers and for organizations in volunteer management.

For more information, visit the website, send an email to Cari at volunteerfraservalley@gmail.com, or visit facebook.com/VolunteerFraserValley.
