VIDEO: Surprise drive-by birthday held for Abbotsford teenager’s 13th

Friends wave from vehicles to adhere to social distancing

An Abbotsford teenager was surprised to have her 13th birthday celebrated at all this year, as the world stays inside to practise social distancing.

A family friend, Rachel Mundell, said she messaged a few others on March 31 to drive by and wish the teenager, Jada, a happy birthday.

“I messaged a few people and we did a ‘drive by parade.’ Absolutely amazing!” Mundell said. “With these terrible times the world is facing, we can make some good out of it, and have social distancing at its best.”
