Highlights from the annual event on Saturday at the outdoor mall in Abbotsford

The tree is officially lit up at Highstreet Shopping Centre.

Saturday marked the sixth annual Highstreet Holiday Show and Tree Lighting, with people from all over the Fraser Valley packing the mall to celebrate.

Highlights includedd the lighting of a dazzling 65-foot Christmas tree – one of the tallest in Canada – along with Santa’s arrival to Highstreet.

Other crowd favourites included Rudolph, Frosty, Spandy Andy the dancing elf, a 40-piece marching band, festive dancers, live music and a magical snowfall.

Highstreet’s 30-minute live show includes a multi-media light display utilizing 6,000 tri-colour LED bulbs set to holiday musical favourites.

The live shows run at Highstreet (3122 Mt. Lehman Rd.) every Saturday at 5 p.m. until Dec. 14.
