A class of Grade 4 and 5 students at Upper Sumas Elementary decided to use what they learned about generosity in their personal planning class to help others in the community.

The class, led by teacher TJ Klim, decided their project would be to collect as much clothing and non-perishable food as possible to donate to those in need throughout the community.

Each class at Upper Sumas did their part to donate items throughout one week. Along with donations from the Christmas concert, the students were able to collect over 40 boxes of food and 30 big bags of clothing, amounting to more than 2,000 items.
