UFV students will discuss experiences abroad at The Reach

Exhibit based on student experiences in India and Tanzania will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Students at the University of the Fraser Valley who have travelled to India and Tanzania to take part in development projects will share their experiences at The Reach this weekend.

UFV’s Global Development Institute will hold an exhibit including 25 photos, and students will be on hand to share their stories.

The exhibit highlights the internship activities of 25 UFV student interns who were funded by the Canadian International Development Agency and the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada to work on development projects in Tanzania and India over the past three years.

The internships required a commitment of a minimum of three months and students worked on various projects that included urban agriculture, climate change adaptation, and community development.

The event is free and the exhibit will be open Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
