University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is seeking nominations for its annual Betty Urquhart Community Service Award.

Nominations are open until Friday, March 15 for individuals or groups who have made the Fraser Valley a better place to live.

Urquhart was one of the first employees of Fraser Valley College (now UFV) and believed strongly in volunteering and giving back to the community.

She passed away in 1995, and UFV keeps her memory alive by honouring a person or group who exemplifies her commitment to life-long learning and community.

The award is presented as part of UFV's annual convocation ceremony in June.

Nomination forms are available online at ufv.ca/board/bettyurquhartaward, or call Lori Ann Waites at 1-888-504-7441 (local 4521) or email loriann.waites@ufv.ca.
