Two Abbotsford youths receive Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Reception held April 11 in Vancouver, honouring 39 youth from across B.C.

Two Abbotsford youths were among 39 from across B.C. presented with the Silver Level Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Vancouver on Saturday, April 11.

Daniel Unger and Arjun Gill received their award from Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon during a reception at Choi Hall, SUCCESS Social Service Centre.

The Duke of Edinburgh awards program is for youth ages 14 to 25 who must complete four sections – volunteer service, a skill, physical recreation and an adventurous journey.

The award is presented in the form of a lapel pin and a certificate.

The program consists of three levels – bronze for ages 14 and up, silver for 15 and up, and gold for six and older.
