Tractor campaign helps food assistance programs

Abbotsford-based company Handlers Equipment will raise funds for Canadian Foodgrains Bank during the months of May and June

Abbotsford-based company Handlers Equipment will raise funds for food assistance programs through the Canadian Foodgrains Bank during the months of May and June.

Salesman Joel Venema will donate $50 to the campaign for every Mahindra tractor sold during those months.

Mahindra will then match the donation, bringing the total to $100.

Handlers will match the combined donation, increasing the total to $200.

Funds are multiplied up to 4:1 by the Canadian International Development Agency, bringing the total to $800.

Last year, Handlers raised funds for the Food for the Hungry organization to provide cows and chickens to poverty-stricken countries.

For more information or to support the campaign, contact Joel Venema before June 30 by email at joel@handlersequipment.com or by phone at 604-850-3601 (ext. 225).
