A barbecue lunch takes place this Sunday, July 29 to raise money for Holmberg House, an adult hospice; and Matthew’s House, a respite centre for children with severe disabilities.
Both are part of the Campus of Care project under construction adjacent to Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
The fundraiser takes place at Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre at the second annual Touch-a-Truck event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission is free to the event, which invites the public to see trucks and other vehicles up close, including an 80-foot crane, a chipper truck and a shredding truck. Each vehicle will have an interactive, entertaining, and educational activity along with their truck on display.
