Thanksgiving meal held at the Salvation Army

A Thanksgiving meal was held at the Salvation Army Centre of Hope on Gladys Avenue on Friday.

Volunteers were there to provide a traditional, sit-down meal for those in attendance, complete with turkey, gravy, potatoes, dessert and more.

Deb Lowell, spokesperson for the Abbotsford Salvation Army, said they were prepared to serve up to 500 people at two seatings.

She said that people were encouraged to sit and enjoy the meal and the company.
