The Terry Fox Run is back in Abbotsford this year, and will be held at Tradex on Sunday, Sept. 14.
There will be two-, five- and 10-kilometre runs to raise money for cancer research.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. while the run begins at 10 a.m.
The event returned after it didn’t take place in 2013 because there was no organizer. It had previously happened every year in Abbotsford since 1985.
Two local residents, Grant Mottershead and Barbara Bremner, volunteered to take over this year.
The 2014 run is the 34th annual. In 1980, with one leg having been amputated due to cancer, Fox embarked on a cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research.
