Tax returns prepared free for low-income people

Tax returns are being prepared in Abbotsford free of charge for low-income people.

The returns are completed by volunteers for people with simple tax situations from now until April 30.

The program is a collaboration between the Canada Revenue Agency and the Clearbrook Golden Age Society.

The program serves individuals with an income of up to $30,000 and couples with an income of up to $40,000.

Clinics are conducted at Garden Park Tower (#106 2825 Clearbrook Rd.) from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. every day except Sunday.

Drop by the office to book an appointment, call 604-744-0109 or email incometax@gardenparktower.ca.

Tax returns are also prepared at Abbotsford Community Services (2420 Montrose Ave.) year-round on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
