Annual event returns to Tradex in Abbotsford on Feb. 15 and 16

The annual Pet Lover Show, Western Canada’s largest pet-focused event, is back at Tradex in Abbotsford on Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16.

The eighth annual event features animal-related seminars and speakers, interactive pet-focused activities, and fun for pet enthusiasts of all ages.

This year’s show will feature several brand-new exhibitors and dozens of returning favourites, including demonstrations form the integrated RCMP police service dogs, the skill-testing Lure Course and more.

Also back this year by popular demand, the President’s Choice SuperDogs will audition local finalists for the chance to perform this summer with them at The Fair at the PNE.

The program is looking for dogs who excel in both agility and obedience, as well as just tricks.

Those interested in an audition can sign up at the show or visit petlovershow.ca for more information.

Also at the show, visit the Catoro Cat Cafe. Guests can journey into the magical Cat Forest, grab a bubble tea or snack, and relax with some rescue cats and kittens that are in need of forever homes.

The Pet Lover Show also hosts a number of top animal specialists speaking on multiple stages throughout the weekend.

The Meet the Breed area features breeds such as Irish setters, poodles, wolf hounds, Newfoundlanders, chihuahuas, golden retrievers and Dandie Dinmont terriers. Members of breed clubs will be on hand to answer questions.

The show is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission at the door is $14 for adults, $10 for seniors and youth (ages six to 15), and free for kids five years and under.

Tickets can be purchased online for $2 less at petlovershow.ca.
