Summer camps offered in Abbotsford for kids with autism

The Fraser Valley Child Development Centre (FVCDC) in Abbotsford is offering three half-day summer camps for kids with autism.

Get in the Game – a gross motor- and social-skills group – runs July 9 to 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Terry Fox elementary (3071 Babich St.).

Coding and Robotics with Friends takes place July 30 to Aug. 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the FVCDC (32855 Ventura Ave.).

The Lego Assisted Social Skills Camp – a camp about Lego-building techniques – runs Aug. 20 to 24 from 1 to 5 p.m., also at FVCDC.

The programs can be paid for with autism funding through the Ministry of Child and Family Development.
