Students participate in 'Amazing Agricultural Adventure'

Almost 200 students in Grades 4 to 6 take part in an agriculture-based field trip on Thursday.

The Abbotsford Soil Conservation Association hosts "Abbotsford's Amazing Agricultural Adventure" for almost 200 students on Thursday, Oct. 31.

The field trip will see students in Grades 4 to 6 visit with growers of fruits vegetables and berries; experience milking a cow; interact with experts on food safety and local food security; learn about environmental stewardship; and more.

The students will also receive a locally grown and prepared lunch and will participate in a lunch dessert auction to see how real farm auctions work.

The activities will all take place at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery on Vye Road.
