Straiton Community Club is hosting a strawberry brunch on Sunday, May 31 to raise money to help fill the gap in the roof of its heritage building, Straiton Community Hall.
The Brunch Between – taking place halfway between Mother’s and Father’s Day – runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the hall, 4698 Sumas Mtn. Rd.
The brunch includes strawberry apple crumble, strawberry almond roulade with mascarpone, strawberry bacon salad and more.
Gluten- and nut-free choices are available only by pre-order by May 28 at 604-852-4278.

The event also includes a display of collector cars and a display/demo of vintage clocks by master woodworker Alan Holmans.
Holmans is known for his single-handed restoration of an original house in Clayburn Village.
The Brunch Between also features a display on the mining, forestry and farming settlement of the area.
