STAND AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING

An event called “Stand Against Human Trafficking” is presented Saturday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cascade Community Church (35190 DeLair Rd.) as part of the Salvation Army’s sixth annual international weekend of prayer for victims of human trafficking. A screening of the film Sex and Money takes place Friday, Sept. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $25 for the screening and lunch on Saturday. Register at thetruthisntsexy.ca

SQUARE DANCE

FALL FAIR

The 16th annual Gladwin Fall Fair takes place Saturday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3474 Gladwin Rd. (next to Chief Dan George School). The garage sale includes crafts, garden items, used books, children’s items, jewelry, baked goods and more. Info:  604-852-3984.

GEM OF A SHOW

The Fraser Valley Rock and Gem Club hosts its annual show on Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Old Age Pensioners’ Hall, 3015 273 St. in Aldergrove. Doors are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Vendors, displays , demonstrations, a silent auction and door prizes are included. Admission is by donation.
