Abbotsford’s second annual Seed Swap takes place Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Edenvale Retreat Centre, 4330 Bradner Rd. Tatiana’s Tomatoes hosts a tomato  seminar, food bank reps speak on childhood food poverty, Kwantlen University displays the Valley’s first seed library, and vendors sell organic and non-GMO produce, with proceeds to build wheelchair-accessible garden beds. Ernie Poignant will be at Sevenoaks Shopping Centre on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 to sign copies of his new book and to draw cartoons. He will be located near the Royal Bank on both days from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Cost of the book is $5, and all proceeds go to the MSA Museum Society. Info: 604-851-7315

A storytime session takes place at Abbotsford Community Library (33355 Bevan Ave.) from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. A pajama storytime is held at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) on Monday, March 18 from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
