Abbotsford Women’s Connection hosts a “Comedy of Errors Fashion Breakfast”  on Wednesday, March 14 at 9:30 a.m. at Garden Park Tower, 2825 Clearbrook Rd. Seniors over 60 are invited to six free hands-on cooking sessions beginning on Thursday, March 15 and running weekly until April 19 at All Saints’ Anglican Church, 33077 Second Ave. in Mission. Sessions are at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and are ideal for men or women who are making meals for one or two. Facilitator Tamara Throssell will cover how to choose nutritious food, meal planning, shopping, and making healthy snacks. A six-week commitment is necessary. Yale Secondary School is now offering a SAT (scholastic aptitude test) preparation course with certified math and English teachers. The SAT is written as part of admission requirements to post-secondary schools in the U.S. The prep course at Yale runs from 4 to 7 p.m. on Mondays, starting after spring break (March 12-23). In eight sessions, students will be prepped in the math, critical reading, and writing portions of the exam. Meditation classes with Dorjechang Buddhist Centre take place every Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at #106 – 31581 South Fraser Way in Abbotsford. The Silverfox Air Cadet sponsoring committee hosts a Texas Hold ’Em poker tournament on Friday, March 16 at 7 p.m.  at the Air Cadet Building (32470 Haida Drive).
