GOGOS GARAGE SALE

The Abbotsford Gogos hold their annual garage sale on Saturday, June 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Gladwin Heights United Church, 3474 Gladwin Rd. Gardening, household items, jewelry and more will be available.

SCANDINAVIAN CLUB

WOMEN’S CONNECTION

Abbotsford Women’s Connection hosts a Sweet Tea Breakfast on Wednesday, June 14 at Garden Park Tower (2825 Clearbrook Rd.), starting at 9:30 a.m. The event features fashion historian Karen Edberg-Lee showing Vintages Florals of Yesteryear and speaker Lil McIntosh sharing Living Life in the Season of Change. DOWN SYNDROME WALK

The Walk for Down Syndrome Awareness takes place Saturday, June 17 at Mill Lake Park from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The day includes face painting, bouncy castles, a silent auction, door prizes, lunch and a walk around Mill Lake. CELEBRATING DADS

The annual Celebrating Dads event takes place on Father’s Day (Sunday, June 18) at Mill Lake Park from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be crafts, face painting, panning for gold, mini golf, and much more. LAWN BOWLING

The season is now underway for the Jubilee Park Lawn Bowling Club. Bowling takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:45 p.m. at 2552 McCallum Rd. No experience is necessary and lessons are free. Info: Terry at 604-287-1219 or Florence at 604-856-8407.

MOOD DISORDERS

The Mood Disorders Association support group in Abbotsford meets the first and third Thursdays of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Abbotsford Community Services (2420 Montrose Ave.) It is open to those who have mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic attacks.
