DAY CAMP

The Let Youth Belong Project at Abbotsford Community Services hosts a day camp for middle school students from July 25 to 29 at Centennial Park elementary, 2527 Gladwin Rd. The camp runs from  10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day and includes sports, arts and crafts, barbecues, movie days and field trips. Cost is $10. Let Youth Belong is a program which encourages youth to positively respond to discrimination, live a crime-free lifestyle and be more inclusive of others. IN THE PARK

The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Mission hosts a Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, July 27 at Fraser River Heritage Park, 7494 Mary St., Mission, starting at 11:15 a.m. Guest speaker Don Brown of the Mission Heritage Association will discuss the history of the park, and the lunch will be catered by Chef Kerry Martin of the Blackberry Kitchen. AFTER 5

PYJAMA TIME

Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) holds a Pyjama Story Picnic on Wednesday, July 27 from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Kids ages two to seven are invited to wear their pyjamas, bring a blanket and join in the outdoor fun of stories and more. If it rains, there will be an indoor picnic instead. Registration is not required. CRITTERS VISIT

Mike’s Critters visit local libraries this month. Mike Larson shows critters that include reptiles, amphibians, birds, insects, arachnids and mammals. He visits Mt. Lehman Library (5875 Mt Lehman Rd.) at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27 and MSA Centennial Library (33660 South Fraser Way) at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 28. All ages are invited and registration is not required.

STUFFIE PARADE

Mission Library (33247 Second Ave.) hosts a Parade of Stuffed Animals on Wednesday, July 27 from 2 to 3 p.m. Kids are invited to bring their stuffed animals to hear pet stories, songs and rhymes. Each animal will receive a special prize ribbon. Register at the library until Monday, July 25. Info: 604-826-6610
