HOMINUM MEETS

AQUAZONE AT LIBRARY

The Vancouver Aquarium AquaZone comes to Abbotsford Community Library (33355 Bevan Ave.) on Monday, July 25 from 11 to 11:45 a.m.  Examine a wide variety of artifacts and some of the most hardy, live intertidal animals found in B.C. waters. Info: 604-853-1753

HEPATITIS C DAY

An awareness event in recognition of World Hepatitis C Day takes place Thursday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at #108A – 32883 South Fraser Way in Abbotsford. Get tested for hepatitis C or have a liver fibro-scan with Dr. John Harley, and talk with knowledgeable staff. Info: 604-854-1101

DUTCH COFFEE CLUB

Keep in touch with the Dutch. A social coffee club meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon at House of James, 2743 Emerson St. Call Corina at 604-870-1087 for more info.

CLAYBURN MUSEUM

MOOD DISORDERS

The Mood Disorders Association support group in Abbotsford meets the first and third Thursdays of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Abbotsford Community Services (2420 Montrose Ave.) It is open to those who have mood disorders such as depression, manic depression, anxiety and panic attacks. FOR SEXAHOLICS

Sexaholics Anonymous is a 12-step program of recovery for men and women who want to stop their sexually self-destructive thinking and behaviour.  Abbotsford SA meets every Saturday at 8 a.m.  For information and location, email abbotsfordsa1@gmail.com. See also www.sa.org.

ALATEEN  MEETS

Alateen, a part of Al-Anon Family Groups, is for young people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking,  whether it’s a parent, sibling or friend. NAR-ANON FAMILY GROUP

Nar-Anon Family Group meets every Thursday in Abbotsford at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3845 Gladwin Rd., from 7:30 to 9 p.m. This is a 12-step program for those who have been affected by someone else’s addiction.
