The Abbotsford Legion (2513 West Railway St.) holds a breakfast draw on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 3 to 4 p.m. with karaoke from 2 to 5 p.m. Darts are on Thursday, Feb. 8 from 7 to 11 p.m., and fish and chips night is Friday, Feb. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. with karaoke from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. there is a sign-up sheet at the legion for the Valentine’s dinner and dance on Feb. 14. Abbotsford Learning Plus presents two classes next week in its fall series. Both sessions run from 10 a.m. to noon at Abbotsford Recreation Centre (ARC), 2499 McMillan Rd. The Upper Sumas Women’s Institute Society hosts a Sweethearts’ Soiree on Saturday, Feb. 10 at The Rancho (35110 DeLair Rd.). The dinner and dance is a fundraiser for the Starfish Pack program. Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) is now accepting registration for a jigsaw puzzle contest taking place Saturday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. The first team to finish their 500-piece puzzle is the winner.
