Bakerview Church is selling Krispy Kreme donuts on Saturday, Feb. 18 to raise funds for a trip to Berlin to help a church repair some outdoor areas, do spring cleaning, and play sports with local children. The donuts will be $10 a dozen and will be sold at Bakerview Church (2285 Clearbrook Rd.) or Blackwood Building Centre (33050 South Fraser Way) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Abbotsord Home Health (Fraser Health Authority) offers a “Successful Aging” information session on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Trethewey House, 2313 Ware St. The session focuses on what people can do to maintain their health and what resources are available to support people living at home.


Valley Women’s Network hosts a luncheon on Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Salvation Army Cascade Community Church (35190 DeLair Road). Speaker is Wendy Burgess.


The Abbotsford Genealogical Society holds its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Clearbrook Library, 32320 George Ferguson Way.  Doors open at 1 p.m., with the meeting starting at 1:30 p.m. (This is a day and time change for this meeting only.) The Heritage Club  for Kids meets Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) to celebrate B.C. Heritage Week. Students have been working on heritage presentations and will display the results of their research. Info: 604-859-7814


Learning Plus hosts two classes next week from 10 a.m. to noon at Abbotsford Rec Centre: one on Feb. 21 called “The People of Abbotsford” and one on Feb. 23 with Coun. Patricia Ross discussing environmental issues. Cost is $5, plus ARC entrance fee.
