SCANDINAVIA CLUB

The Scandinavian Club of the Fraser Valley meets at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17 for its monthly potluck dinner and entertainment at the Masonic Hall, 33860 Pine St. (corner or Gladys and Pine). SKILLS CONNECT

The Skills Connect for Immigrants program holds a free information session on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Abbotsford Community Services, 2420 Montrose Ave. The program helps participants with assistance finding working in their field of expertise, job-search techniques and more. The Fraser Valley Business Network features Josh Rimer, comedian and YouTube business expert, at its Marketing Mastermind series on Wednesday, Feb. 19. BETTER BREATHERS

The Mission Sumas Abbotsford Better Breathers Club meets Thursday, Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cascade Community Church, 35190 DeLair Rd. Share information, education and support with others living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and/or asthma.

LEARNING PLUS

The Abbotsford Learning Plus Society holds two classes next week. Both sessions run from 10 a.m. to noon at Abbotsford Recreation Centre (ARC), 2499 McMillan Rd. The topic on Tuesday, Feb. 18 is Castro’s Early Cuba. The topic on Thursday, Feb. 20 is The Mystery and Grandeur of the Mighty Fraser River. Cost is $5 per class, plus the $2 ARC drop-in fee. GENEALOGY SOCIETY

FRENCH GROUP

CARPET BOWLING
