The third Congenital Heart Warriors Walk takes place in Abbotsford on Saturday, Feb. 13 at Mill Lake Park (Bevan Road entrance). Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:30. Cost to participate is $25. The event is hosted by the Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance. Info:

Abbotsford Learning Plus presents two classes next week in its fall series. Both sessions run from 10 a.m. to noon at Abbotsford Recreation Centre (ARC), 2499 McMillan Rd. The topic on Tuesday, Feb. 16 is “Peacebuilding Strategies for Daily Life.” The topic on Thursday, Feb. 18 is “International Justice Reform: Are We Making a Difference?”  Cost per class is $5, plus the $2 ARC drop-in fee. Abbotsford Community Services and Vancity credit union are offering a free workshop for immigrants interested in starting a business in Canada. The session runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 at Abbotsford Community Services’ Apollo office (203 – 3600 Townline Rd.). The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Abbotsford holds “It’s All About the Heart “ on Friday, Feb. 19. The event takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Phoenix Lounge (33780 King Rd.) and includes a red dress fashion show, appetizers served throughout the evening, and information about heart health.
