The Greater Vancouver chapter of Muscular Dystrophy Canada holds a skydiving fundraiser in Abbotsford on Saturday, July 18.
The event, Jumping for Charity, takes place at Skydive Vancouver on Gladwin Road. Proceeds will go to support individuals living in the Lower Mainland with muscular dystrophy.
The day will involve skydiving for a discounted rate of $240, with prizes for the individuals who raise the most pledges.
There will also be a barbecue, live music, and many games and activities for the whole family.
Muscular dystrophy is the name for a group of genetic disorders called “neuromuscular disorders” that are characterized by progressive weakness of the body’s muscles.
