Several Easter celebrations planned in Abbotsford

Several activities are taking place in Abbotsford this weekend in celebration of Easter.

Maan Farms (790 McKenzie Rd.) holds its sixth annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from March 30 to April 2.

Doors open at 9 a.m. each day, with the first egg hunt at 10 a.m. Hunts continue throughout the day until the last round at 3 p.m.

Other activities throughout the weekend include a craft station, photos with the Easter Bunny and face painting.

Tickets at the door are $10 for everyone walking age and older. Two parents are free when accompanying a child.

Also featured each day is breakfast with the Easter Bunny and his friends at 8:30 and 9 a.m. Separate breakfast tickets are an additional $10 and must be purchased online in advance at maanfarms.com.

Taves Family Farm (333 Gladwin Rd.) holds an Easterfest from March 30 to April 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Hay rides to the egg hunt operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and pony rides ($6 each) are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p..m. on Saturday and Sunday only.

Activities include a Bunny Town photo booth, a petting barn, a pedal-kart track, a “jumping pillow” and more.

Admission for the egg and scavenger hunt is $10.50 (plus tax). An adult hay ride and admission is $4. Visit tavesfamilyfarms.com for more information and advance tickets.

Also, the Easter Bunny will be on hand at Highstreet shopping centre (3122 Mt. Lehman Rd.) on Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. to hand out chocolates.

The Easter Bunny will also visit Sevenoaks Shopping Centre (32900 South Fraser Way) on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for free photos and treats.

Ecodairy (1356 Sumas Way) hosts Easter activities on Saturday and Sunday, including dairy barn tours, a spring colouring contest, a visual egg scavenger hunt and an egg display table.
