In collaboration with Abbotsford’s Matthew’s House, Sprott Shaw College is offering an information session on macular degeneration on Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Sprott Shaw campus in Abbotsford.
The session will feature Martin Hamer, who was the clinical resource nurse for the retina/vitreous surgeons at the UBC/VGH eyecare centre for two years, during which time he developed and provided in-depth education on the condition and how to minimize and prevent vision loss through natural means.
Entry cost is by donation and all proceeds go to Matthew’s House, a respite care facility supporting children with complex healthcare needs and their families.
