People who have worked for the betterment of the Fraser River can get recognition, as nominations are being taken for the 2012 Fraser River Hall of Fame.
Each year, the Fraser River Discovery Centre Society honours the contributions made by a family, individual, business, corporation or organization to the Fraser. The candidate must have added to the health and sustainability of the river, its people, industry or environment. They may be from the field of community leadership, business and economic development, labour, industry, volunteer service and other areas including research, culture and the arts.
The nominee will be inducted at the Fraser River Hall of Fame Gala in the fall.
