Scientist speaks on air quality tonight at UFV

A UBC professor is presenting an overview of air quality Thursday at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford.

Thursday night's lecture on air quality in the Fraser Valley promises to shed light on the local issue.

In a talk organized by the Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition, Douw Steyn, professor of atmospheric science at the University of British Columbia, will take a 20-year retrospective view assessing the present status of air quality in relation to past conditions, and will take a brief look into possible futures.

The talk starts tonight (Thursday, Jan. 16) at 7 p.m. at the Abbotsford campus of the University of the Fraser Valley, room A225.

Light refreshments will be provided.
