An Abbotsford student is among 100 4-H members from across Canada who have received scholarships from the Chrysler Foundation.
Jaymie Thompson, who belongs to the Abbotsford 4-H Beef Club, receives $1,000 toward her post-secondary education. The scholarships provide opportunities for Canadian youth to further their post-secondary education in the science, art and business fields. Students applied for the reward by submitting 500-words essays and reference letters.
They were selected based on merit, academic records, leadership and involvement in the agricultural community.
