An Abbotsford student has been awarded a scholarship from the Irving K. Barber B.C. Scholarship Society to study abroad.
Hayley Cooper is in the social services program at University of the Fraser Valley and will be studying in England. She is among 16 students to have been awarded the Premier’s International Scholarship of between $6,000 and $10,000 each.
The students are enrolled in overseas programs in 15 different countries. The scholarships are funded form the returns on a $15 million endowment fund established by the B.C. government.
