The Salvation Army in Abbotsford holds an open house on Tuesday, Oct. 13 as part of Homelessness Action Week.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Centre of Hope, 34081 Gladys Ave.
The centre includes a 25-bed adult shelter and a meal centre providing more than 11,000 nutritious meals monthly, in addition to operating Pantry34, a nutritious snack and beverage program currently operating in 19 Abbotsford schools.
The centre also offers outreach and family services, adult day respite, nursing support, 14 units of supportive independent living suites for men and many other services. Funds raised from the Salvation Army Thrift Store support these programs and services.
